A win for Cavan this evening (Wednesday) will see them qualify for the semi finals of the Bank of Ireland Dr. Mc Kenna cup. They welcome Armagh to Kingspan Breffni at 7:30 with the Orchard county also on the verge of a last 4 spot. Both sides accounted for Antrim in their opening group games. A draw would also be enough for the visitors as they carry a superior plus 12 score difference while a defeat for Cavan would possibly seen them claim the best runner up spot should other results go in their favour. Breffni manager Mickey Graham noted that the competition to them is about giving new players an introduction to the intercounty level
We will have live coverage of that fixture with thanks to Erne Motor Works Cavan.
Other fixtures this evening will see Derry welcoming Tyrone to Owenbeg where again the winner will progress to the last 4, while Monaghan and Donegal meet in Ballybofey with both sides harbouring very slim notions of finishing as the best runner up to claim a semi final spot.
