Carrickmacross setup a meeting with Scotstown in the Monaghan senior football semi-final after a 3-13 to 1-15 win over Magheracloone.
Carrickmacross got off to the perfect start with a goal from Kevin O’Hanlon but it was Magheracloone who led 11 points to 1-7 at half-time.
Five minutes into the second-half Magheracloone came back into it with a goal from Padraig McMahon, to make it 1-12 to 1-8.
Carrick then blitzed Magheracloone with two quick fire goals from Aaron Lynch and Conor Duffy to make it 3-8 to 1-12 a lead they wouldn’t surrender as they won out 3-13 to 1-15.
