Callum O'Dowda has been ruled out of Ireland's opening Euro 2024 qualifier against France in the Aviva Stadium due to a groin injury
O'Dowda's absence could pave the way for James McClean's introduction. Alternatively, Matt Doherty could be shifted across from right-back.
Adam Idah and Seamus Coleman have also been included among the official 23-man squad submitted to UEFA, despite injury doubts.
Meanwhile, Troy Parrott who featured as a substitute in the 3-2 win over Latvia has failed to make the cut.
Will Keane is also surplus to requirements in attack while Robbie Brady also misses out.
World Cup runners-up France opened their campaign with a comfortable 4-0 win over The Netherlands on Friday.
The French will provide tough opposition and the game kicks off at 7.45pm.
