Butlersbridge advanced to the Ulster intermediate semi-final having nearly blown a commanding lead against An Riocht.
Just two minutes were on the clock when An Riocht’s Noel McArdle received a black card. Butlersbridge led five points to two at the first water break.

A John Fitzpatrick goal four minutes before the break along with an earlier point and scores from Conaty 0-2 (1f), O'Reilly and Fionntan O'Reilly saw the Cavan champions lead 1-9 to six points.
Fionntan O'Reilly 0-2 (1f) and a John Fitzpatrick point moved Butlersbridge seven points clear but An Riocht fought back with two goals to level the game with nine minutes remaining.
A Caoimhin O'Reilly free immediate restored Butlersbridge lead with John Fitzpatrick finding the net as the Cavan side led 2-14 to 2-10.
An Riocht sent over a point but it wasn’t enough as Butlersbridge won out by three points 2-14 to 2-11.
