Britney Arendse finishes inside top ten at World championships

Ireland's Britney Arendse has backed up her seventh place finish at the Paralympics by taking the same position at the World Para Powerlifting Championships in Georgia. The Cavan lifter set a new lifetime best of 113 kilograms in Tbilisi, six kg above her previous best weight.

Britney who resides in Cavan has also played wheelchair basketball in Louth for Ardee and trains regularly in Kerry with her coach Roy Guerin.
