Longford GAA was in shock last night as Billy O'Loughlin resigned as senior team manager.
The announcement from the Longford board came just after midnight. O'Loughlin having earlier resigned via email from New York.
The Laois man who had been in charge of Longford for one season cited a new work schedule, which saw more travel to the USA as his reasons for resigning.

O'Loughlin was a surprise choice as Longford boss in late 2021 having had no senior inter-county management experience.
Victories over Westmeath and Laois saw Longford retain their division three Allianz league status on the final day.
However Leinster championship defeat to Westmeath and a Tailteann cup round one defeat at home to Fermanagh.
