Bank of Ireland Dr. McKenna cup draw is made

Cavan have been drawn in Group B alongside Down and Derry in the Bank of Ireland Dr. McKenna cup.

While Monaghan are in Goup C with Fermanagh and Antrim.

Group A drew the most gasps at the launch in Armagh City hotel last night. Tyrone, Armagh and Donegal were all drawn to face each other.

Speaking at the launch last night, Cavan's Conor Brady remarked that the pre-season tournament is always a good introduction back into the intercounty scene ahead of the league.

Cavan get their Division 2 league campaign underway at the end of January with a trip away to Kildare.

The Dr. Mc Kenna cup will get underway on January 3rd with the first round game followed by fixtures on the 7th and 10th.
