Ballybay Pearse brothers humbled Truagh in the Mongahan quarter-final as they ran in a 14 point victory.
Ballybay’s Ciaran Galligan found the net in the opening minute. The opening score of the game setting the tone for the match.
Ryan Wylie found the net 11 minutes later to make it 2-4 to one point. It went from bad to worse for Truagh as Ballybay added four points to lead 2-8 to three at half-time.
Christopher McKenna (2) and Gary Mohan brought it back to a seven point game but that was as good as it got.
Thomas Kerr grabbed Ballybay’s third goal on 45 minutes and ended any hopes of a Truagh comeback.
In the end it was extremely comfortable for Ballybay winning out 3-13 to eight points.
Ballybay will meet Clontibret in the semi-final.
