Cavan made a losing start to Lidl ladies national football league division two as Armagh won 2-8 to 0-5 at Drumlane.
The sides cancelled each other out during the opening 14 minutes hitting two points each; Lauren McVeety and Aisling Gilsenan were on target for Cavan.
Armagh responded impressively as the visitors landed four of the next five scores to lead 0-6 to 0-3 at half-time.

15 minutes after the restart, Armagh moved 11 points clear thanks to two goals in nine minutes from Aoife McCoy and Aoife Lennon.
McVeety and Ally Cahill registered two late points for Cavan but it was too late as Cavan suffered a nine-point defeat in the end.
