Antrim shocked Cavan as the Breffni men fell to a first defeat of the Allianz league season, 1-17 to 2-12.
The defeat in Corrigan Park means Cavan need to beat Fermanagh in their final league game to certain of promotion.
The game spun after just six minutes when Conor Murray found the Cavan net. The goal shocked Cavan who trailed by six points at half-time.
Cavan’s first-half points coming from Cian Madden (0-2), Paddy Lynch, Jack McKenna as Antrim led 1-7 to four points at the break.
Ray Galligan (0-2), Madden, Gearoid McKiernan (0-3) all sent over points, as Cavan trailed 1-14 to 11 points with seven minutes remaining.
Conor Madden fired in a Cavan goal with six minutes to play with Conor Smith making it a two point game moments later.
Antrim responded with two Ordhan Eastwood points either side of Conor Moynagh’s black card.
Four minutes into injury time Paddy Lynch blasted home a goal to make it a one point game but Antrim sealed victory with a point in response to win out 1-17 to 2-12.
