The Allianz National football league tables are taking shape with 2 rounds remaining and their is still plenty to play for. In Division 1, Kerry are top sitting on 9 points with 4 wins and 1 draw with Mayo and Armagh behind them on 7 points and secure in the top tier for 2023. Donegal occupy 4th spot on 5 points with Monaghan next on 4. Tyrone and Kildare have 3 points with Dublin on 2. The tightness of the division means any of those 5 teams could still be relegated. Monaghan manager Seamus Mc Enaney, noted after their victory over Donegal that they value their Division 1 status and would be working hard to retain it.
Division 2 has Galway on top with 5 wins from 5 outings, with Derry and Roscommon behind them on 9 and 8 points respectively. Clare and Meath are sitting mid table on 4 points with Offaly on 3 while Down and Cork are on 1 point each. Having both been promoted last year, Antrim and Louth are now occupying the top 2 spots in division 3 with their meeting this coming weekend going along way to who will make the step up. Westmeath and Limerick remain in the promotion hunt on 6 points with Fermanagh on 5 along with Laois. Longford and Wicklow occupy the bottom 2 spots on 3 points and 1 point.
In Division 4, Cavan remain in pole position to gain promotion even though they suffered their first loss at the hands of Tipperary on Sunday in Kingspan Breffni. That result was enough to move the premier county up to 2nd in the table ahead of Sligo, London and Leitrim who all sit on 6 points. Wexford are on 4 points with Carlow on 2 and Waterford have 1.
