Monaghan ladies get their Senior football championship campaign underway this Saturday when they welcome the All Ireland champions Meath to Drumhowan (Throw in at 2pm). It is a tough opener for the Farney county who retained their Division 2 status in the Lidl ladies league, but suffered a loss to Armagh in the provincial championship. The royal county who compete in division 1, were defeated in the Leinster decider by Dublin, but will still provide a formidable opposition to Kieran Kearns side, something he noted when speaking to Sean Mc Caffrey
Kieran was speaking at the launch of the new Monaghan Ladies GAA website www.monaghanladiesfootball.com
