Aaron McKenna got his Japanese boxing adventures off to a winning start with a 10th round stoppage of Jeovanny Estela.
The "Silencer" is one of eight boxers taking part in the Prizefighter tournament in Osaka and will now face Kieron Conway (24-20-3-1) in the semi-final.
McKenna made it 19-0 on his record when stopping Estela (14-0) in the 10th round. Meanwhile Northampton boxer Conway, also earned a stoppage in his quarter final bout.
With a knockout/stoppage bonus available of $100,000 both fighters will be already dipping into that prize fund.
A date has yet to be confirmed for the semi-final meeting which has the makings of a classic with both fighters more than happy to trade the punches
