Cavan SOSAD advice for those feeling alone this Christmas. Christine Wynne (SOSAD Cavan) says it's all about "securing the future". Indeed, being in a position to provide services without worrying about paying the rent and bills. According to Christine, the service is expanding year on year right across the board. Moreover, in order to provide that service to the best of it's ability, SOSAD must keep it's doors open.
While SOSAD has been reliant on the public for funding, Christine says there has been a visible decrease in donations. Basically, not because locals don't want to donate, rather many simply can't afford to due to the current cost of living crisis. Jodie Curran spoke with Christine about this issue and also asked her to share some advice for people that are finding this time of the year difficult.
