Housing estates need more parking spaces to relieve pressure.
That's according to Cavan County Council Noel Connell. Indeed, Cllr Connell brought a motion to the most recent sitting of Cavan County Council on the issue.
He called on the local authority to develop more parking spaces in council owned estates to alleviate traffic congestion. The Sinn Fein Councillor said that there is also a very important safety issue regarding ensuring access for emergency service crews when entering housing developments.
Cllr Connell said most houses have two or three cars but only the space for one and in turn is creating for a bottleneck scenario. The local councillor has been speaking to Ronan Gargan.
