Local hotel honoured for it's menopause strategies. The Slieve Russell Hotel in Co Cavan was among the big winners at the second Menopause Workplace Excellence Awards. Moreover, the Ballyconnell hotel, golf and country club joined Bank of Ireland; Aldi; and drinks giants Coca-Cola and Diageo. All honoured for implementing policies to support women battling debilitating menopause symptoms in the workplace.
Indeed, the Slieve Russell received the Best Champion Network award. Orla Murphy is the People and Culture Manager at the The Slieve Russell Hotel in Ballyconnell. Jodie Curran spoke with Orla and began by asking her how the award-winning strategies were first implemented:
