A public meeting will take place in Virginia this evening to address concerns around mental health in the local community.
A presentation will be delivered by Pieta House.
The event is being organised by local man Martin Tynan who used the occasion of his 50th birthday to call for donations to Pieta House which gathered almost €36,000 in the process.
The public meeting, which takes place at the Riverfront Hotel at 8pm tomorrow, will also hear from Bailieborough Garda Superintendent Gordon Englishby, as well as local area representatives.
Martin has been speaking to our reporter Ronan Gargan and he describes the current situation as a crisis in Cavan.
He has been telling Ronan about this evenings event.
