It emerged today that the ASTI says it's not back in talks with the department of education over the leaving cert but did meet with the Minister today.
The teachers union withdrew from discussions about how the exams will work due to fears of a repeat of the calculated grades process as the ASTI says it wants an exam system with standards.
This has just increased uncertainty and for both parents and students who are still in the dark about when they can even return to school and now the exams in the summer.
