A Monaghan man, Matthew McMahon, whose wife Kathryn is expecting their second child at the end of June, he has described the restrictions around hospital restrictions at scans as inhumane.
He says that while he understands why they are in place he would like to see a balancing act particularly when tough news is being given to mothers on their own in an appointment.
