This week Health Minister Stephen Donnelly visited the vaccination centre in Castleblayney before moving on to Cavan. He was here to commend staff on their work.
Monaghan has the highest seven and fourteen day incidence rates in the country, more than twice the national average.
And a testing positivity rate of 27 per cent.

Eddie Butler was in Castleblayney to meet with the Minister.
He spoke to Paula Loughran, Operational Site Manager for Monaghan Covid-19 Vaccination Centre and Siobhan Patton, the Lead for Staff Health and Wellbeing in CHO1.
He started by speaking to Paula about how the vaccination programme has went locally.
