Eimear Lawlor is originally from Virginia in Cavan but has now relocated to Kilkenny.
She was a stay at home mother but had a creative streak and was encouraged by her daughter to 'do more than sit home and drink coffee' and so she set to writing.
Eimear joined a creative writing course and found that she had an imagination.

Sadly, her daughter Ciara passed away in 2016 after she collapsed at a Kodaline concert and the book Dublin's Girl is now a living tribute to her daughter's memory.
