On their 20th wedding anniversary Roisin Clarke from Carrickmacross in Monaghan lost her husband Alan to Motor Neuron Disease.
He was a hard worker, who kept laughing and making jokes right to the end.
The created what Roisin calls a bubble and they enjoyed the time they had left together after the got the news about the diagnosis.
Now, as part of MND Awareness month Roisin and her family are appealing to people to support the IMNDA in their work and all they do for people who have the disease in providing care and assistance. She has been speaking to Sheila Naughton and sharing her story which you can listen to here:
