Some bad news today as there's been widespread shock and disappointment to the revelations that Bank of Ireland is shutting 88 branches here.
The bank says the closures are in response to a rise in digital banking.
Locally, branches in Arva, Cootehill and Kingscourt in Cavan are to close, along with Clones and Castleblayney in Monaghan.
In the Shannonside Region those in Strokestown and Elphin in Roscommon and Drumshambo and Manorhamilton in Leitirm will also close later this year.
The Granard Bank of Ireland in Longford is the only one in the county on the list.
