This week a Belfast law firm lodged an application with the Attorney General seeking new inquests into the Belturbet Bombing.
15-year-old Geraldine O'Reilly and 16-year-old Patrick Stanley lost their lives in the 1972 bombing - nobody has ever been charged with their murders.
Kevin Winters, of KRW Law in Belfast, says the applications are "the first of a series of cases pending where we say the State has not conducted an independent inquiry into circumstances surrounding unresolved murder investigations".
They are hopeful that the submission to the Attorney General will be successful, with some movement expected later this year.
