Alan Johnston was co-opted on to Monaghan County Council for Fine Gael last week. The Monaghan Town native took the seat that David Maxwell has held for nearly 21 years.
David was elected to the 34th Dail recently and had to vacate his seat on Monaghan County Council.
He sits on the Monaghan Local Community Development Committee and was recently elected to be Captain of Rossmore Golf Club. Ronan Gargan spoke with Cllr Johnston earlier today about his position on Monaghan County Council and his hopes for his new role.
