Members of the Monaghan Women's Assembly held an event last night in the Westenra Arms Hotel in Monaghan Town. The event was centred around "women's safety" with speeches on the night from the "White Ribbons Campaign" and "Safe Ireland." Jodie Curran went along to the event and spoke with Cllr Cathy Bennett who is the current Cathaoirleach of Monaghan County Council and Chairperson of the Monaghan Women's Assembly.
