The popular 'Wilde Sisters' short film which was directed and produced by Monaghan's very own Taine King will feature at the Dublin International Film Festival. The festival runs for 11 days from the 20th of February to Sunday the 2nd of March, and the Wilde Sisters will be showcased on Wednesday the 26th of February (tomorrow) at 1:30pm in the Lighthouse Cinema. The short-film focuses on the deaths of Emily and Mary Wilde, the half-sisters of Irish poet, novelist and dramatist, Oscar Wilde. The sisters lost their lives in a tragic fire at Drumaconnor House just off the Monaghan/Clones road back in 1871.
