A new report on land prices from the Institute of Professional Auctioneers & Valuers (IPAV) has found continuing price growth both for purchasing and leasing during 2022. Some areas are now achieving as much as €25,000 an acre, while others are as low as €7,000. In Co Cavan, the average price of an acre of land now stands at €9,000.
Peter Murtagh from Murtagh Auctioneers in Bailieborough spoke to the Wider View about these latest findings. He began by explaining how important the quality of the land when it comes to securing that €9,000/ac.
