Listen Back: Westenra Arms Hotel in Monaghan sold to local businessman

Local businessman Padraig Watters has spoken out for the first time after it was announced yesterday that he would be taking over the Westenra Arms Hotel from December.

The McEnaney Family have been at the helm of the popular hotel which is located in Monaghan Town for the past 22 years.

The sale will complete in early December 2024, at which time the Watters Family will take over control of the hotel. Jodie Curran spoke with Mr Watters and began by asking him his thoughts on the announcement.
