Urgent need for additional capacity on Cavan/Dublin bus route
Local Fianna Fáil TD Deputy Niamh Smyth has called for urgent additional capacity on the Cavan/Dublin bus route.
The Cavan-Monaghan TD said the 109X Cavan-Dublin service, operated by Bus Éireann, lacks the capacity to meet demand, particular during peak times.
"Constantly, commuters bound for Co Cavan are left behind at bus stops on the north and west side of Dublin as buses are full in many instances shortly after leaving Busáras, which leaves people standing at bus stops for ages and ages," said Deputy Smith. "It is not acceptable."
Deputy Smyth said there is even cases that the bus doesn't even show up. Ronan Gargan has been speaking to the local td about the situation.
