Sinn Féin TD for Cavan-Monaghan Pauline Tully has called on Government to address what she is describing as "unsafe staffing levels" within Cavan-Monaghan Garda division. Figures show that there are just 375 Gardaí in the region - a decrease of almost 8% since 2009.
Speaking to the Wider View this week, Deputy Tully highlighted how local communities are being let down because of the Government's failure to invest in safe policing levels. She began by highlighting how unacceptable it is that the numbers are so low in this region.
