66-year-old Lilly Treanor from Co Monaghan has been named Netwatch Ulster Family Carer of the Year. Lilly previously cared for her son Noel, who had additional needs and sadly died in 2014, and currently cares full time for her husband of 43 years J.J. who has Parkinson's disease.
After Noel passed away, Lilly was a care worker in the community and became a family friend to many, giving more than just care. Our reporter Jodie Curran has been speaking with the Tydavnet woman and began by asking her how she first got involved with care work:
