Tolls are set to increase again from January.
Car journeys on the M50 and eight national toll roads including the M3 are to increase by 20 cent, while larger vehicles will be charged between 20 and 50 cent extra.
Local councillor Sarah O Reilly says the second increase in 6 months is a major blow to commuters especially ones travelling from Co Cavan. She says that the tolls are a cash cow for the government and will turn people off taking to the motorways and push people to use the back roads along the m3.
Ronan Gargan has been speaking to the local councillor about the announcement that was made yesterday.
