This week marked the 49th anniversary of the Dublin Monaghan bombings which killed 33 people and an unborn baby. Margaret Urwin from Justice for the Forgotten said that findings from the Denton report should be available next year, on the 50th anniversary.
She highlighted how a cloud hangs over the investigation as a result of the Legacy Bill which is currently before the British Parliament for ratification. Speaking to the Wider View Margaret added that if it's passed, there will be no more inquests, civil cases or investigations by the Police Ombudsman into the atrocities that were carried out in Northern Ireland.
First though, she began by highlighting the importance of remembering those who died and the families and survivors left behind after that fateful day in May 1974.
