There is a widespread decline in the numbers of Swifts in Ireland according to Birdwatch Ireland.
Swifts visit here during the summer months from May to early September.
Birdwatch Ireland have asked the people of Monaghan to help with a survey that's underway to get a number of swifts in the county.
Monaghan is one of a few counties in Ireland that does not have official numbers for the swift population in the county.
It's estimated that there has been a 40% drop Swifts over the last ten year in Ireland.
Tara Adcock from the conservation team at Birdwatch Ireland has been speaking to our reporter Ronan Gargan.
Ronan started his conversation with Tara by asking her to explain more information about the swift.
