A status yellow weather warning for snow and ice has been issued for counties Cavan and Monaghan.
According to Met Eireann accumulations of snowfall are possible this evening and overnight. Met Eireann has also advised that poor visibility could lead to difficult travelling conditions.
The warning comes into effect from 7pm this evening until 8am tomorrow morning. Jodie Curran has been speaking with Magheracloone man and Met Eireann forecaster Gerry Murphy about what people can expect over the next 24 hours.
