Three separate screenings of the award-winning Lyra McKee documentary took place yesterday at the Garage Theatre in Monaghan. Film Director Alison Millar and Lyra's sister Nichola were both in attendance to answers questions from the audience afterwards in relation to the Northern Irish journalist who was murdered by the new IRA back in April 2019.
The documentary was previously screened at the Clones Film Festival back in October. Speaking to Northern Sound ahead of the event, Lyra's sister Nichola said she was 'overwhelmed' by the support the film received when it was previously screened back in October.
With its return to Monaghan due to popular demand, Nichola said it is a "wonderful show of solidarity" that the people of Monaghan want to bring Lyra into their hearts.
