Listen Back: "Serious questions remain over Shane O'Farrell's death" - Deputy Matt Carthy

A vote on a motion brought by Sinn Fein came before the Dail on Wednesday night surrounding the death of Shane O Farrell, for a public inquiry to be held.

Even though the motion was passed it wont be enacted resulting in no independent public inquiry being established.

Shane was only 23 when was killed in a hit and run close to Carrickmacross. Deputy Matt Carthy brought the motion before elected representatives this week, himself and Deputy Pauline Tully were the local TD's that voted yes, while the other 3 local TD's decided to abstain from voting.
