Council staff in Carrickmacross have reported an increase in the number of aerosol cans they are collecting from bins and discarded outside.
Carrickmacross councillor, Colm Carthy, said outdoor staff were sufficiently concerned about the number of empty aerosol cans they've found recently that they raised the issue with him .
Councillor Carthy, who lives in Carrick said, he hopes this increase in discarded cans is not indicative of a more serious problem, where young people are using aerosols as a legal 'high'.
