Rents in the country soared by 13.7 per cent last year - the highest figure since Daft.ie began recording the data. In Cavan, market rents were on average 19.8% higher in the final three months of 2022 than a year previously.
The average listed rent is now €1,119, that's up 137% from its lowest point. Meanwhile in Monaghan, market rents were on average 15.9% higher in the final three months of 2022 than a year previously. The average listed rent in Monaghan now stands at €1072, up 108% from its lowest point and nationally, the average rent now stands at 1,700 euro.
