CPR training is an important life skill that you hope you never will need to use but it can be live saving in an emergency situation.

70 per cent of all cardiac arrests take place in the home.

Regional paramedic Philip Dorian, with the National Ambulance Service says everyone across the Northern Sound region should know where their closest public access defibrillator is located.

Philip from the National Ambulance Service has been telling our reporter Ronan Gargan all about what to do when someone goes into cardiac arrest.

Ronan started the interview by asking Philip about the first steps in offering CPR.
