Since 2020, in the last 4 years, 37 women have been violently killed in Ireland, this is in addition to the 25 women who tragically lost their lives through violence in the North of Ireland. Of those tragic 62 lives lost in Ireland over 50% of suspects were reported as partners or ex partners of the victim. Approx 20% were killed by a family member and nearly 90% of perpetrators were known to the victim.
