A priest with strong links to Cavan and Monaghan has celebrated a golden jubilee in recent weeks.
Fr Eamon Aylward recently celebrated his ordination at a special mass in Kilkenny last month. Having travelled and practiced his vocation around the world, it was seen as only fitting that he would return to his roots to mark his 50th year of priesthood.
Fr Alyward spent some time in Cavan and Monaghan in the early stages of his education. He joined Aaron McElroy on The Wider View and started by speaking about how he's feeling having passed an important milestone.
