The Jack and Jill Children's Foundation has opened a new charity boutique at 44/45 Dublin Street Monaghan. The boutique is selling a fantastic selection of pre-loved clothes, accessories, toys, books, LEGO and household items. Additionally, much-needed funds are raised to help support 3 children currently under Jack and Jill's care across Co Monaghan.
Funds raised through sales go to provide in-home nursing care and respite support to local families. Generally, these families care for children, up to the age of six, with severe learning disabilities associated with complex medical needs.
Indeed, since the service began in 1997, the Jack and Jill Foundation have provided much-needed care for 38 families across Co Monaghan. Our reporter Jodie Curran spoke with Area Manager Julie Mooney - O'Shea about the new store:
