A Monaghan mother has received confirmation from the National Council for Special Education (NCSE) that negotiations are underway in relation to additional ASD units to be available in Monaghan Town. Siobhan Cawley previously raised her concerns over the lack of special classes and units available in Monaghan Town which has forced children like her own daughter out of the locality.
While the NCSE have yet to confirm the number of units or where the additional classes will be placed, Siobhan feels like a weight has been lifted off her shoulders knowing that her daughter will be able to attend school close to home.
