A Monaghan councillor has voiced her concerns over the delay in funding to the N2 Clontibret to the border road scheme projects. According to the current Cathaoirleach of Monaghan County Council, Cathy Bennett, the process has already went on for "far too long," with money wasted on various consultations throughout the years.
While Cllr Bennett welcomed a commitment from the government to fund the A5 road scheme through the 'Shared Island Fund' she believes that now is the time for a similar commitment towards the N2.
