Paul Bond from Monaghan has been shortlisted for the 17th annual Volunteer Ireland Awards. Those shortlisted will be honored at the national awards ceremony in Dublin on 8th December, which celebrates the commitment and dedication of volunteers across Ireland.
With 33 nominees across 11 categories, the shortlist includes volunteers aged 20 right up to 75 and showcases the remarkable impact of volunteering across all sections of society. Paul has been shortlisted in the Arts, Culture & Festival category. Jodie Curran spoke with Paul and began by asking him what his reaction was when he first got the news that he had been shortlisted:
