Listen Back: Local TD calls for further Gardai to tackle drugs issue

When it comes to drug dealers in Cavan and Monaghan, we are losing the fight.

That's according to local TD Deputy Niamh Smyth who raised the issue with the Garda Commissioner Drew Harris. Garda Commissioner Drew Harris was before the Oireachtas Justice Committee yesterday afternoon,

Deputy Smyth raised what she called was an epidemic in this region and called on the commissioner for more gardai in the region and to also supply more gardai for the local drugs units in the two counties.
