The final day of this year's BT Young Scientist competition is currently underway today. 17 projects have been entered from local schools to this years event with 9 from Cavan and 8 from Monaghan.
Included in this year's competition is Virginia College students Aoife Kearney and Anatassia Taylor with their investigation into a new and efficient way of education for students with sensory issues in mainstream classes. Aoife and Anatassia who are third year students at the local school said there project has shown that thoughtful intervention using tailored audio technology has the potential to make mainstream classrooms more inclusive and supportive for students with sensory issues. Jodie Curran spoke with the duo and began by asking them about their experience so far:
