People across Monaghan and the wider Northern Sound region are being reminded that the Monaghan Injury Unit is open Monday to Friday for a whole range of injuries.
The Monaghan Injury Unit is open weekdays from 9am to 5pm, and treats a range of issues including broken bones, dislocations, wounds, scalds and burns, facial and eye injuries, and minor chest injuries.
The Unit can also provide x-rays as needed.
The average waiting time in the department is one hour, and Monaghan Hospital's Clinical Lead for Emergency Medicine, Ashraf Butt, spoke to our reporter Diarmuid Pepper about everything people need to know about the unit.
